Greetings St. John’s Lutheran Church!

Jesus said, “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.” –John 13:34

During Lent, we wandered…

This Lenten season, we journeyed with God, reflecting on scripture and where we find ourselves as a congregation.

We wandered with Jesus in the wilderness and considered the road we’ve traveled and tests we face as a church.

We embraced our dependence on God, our mother hen, and considered community partners who can help us.

We reflected on our need for repentance and considered what we need to turn away from and turn towards.

We celebrated the gift of God’s grace and considered what our neighbors need from a church.

During Holy Week and Easter, love shows up…

This month, we will hear how God’s love shows up during Jesus’ trial, execution, and resurrection appearances . As we continue to engage in a time of discernment together, you will be invited to participate in small groups to give direct feedback on what we have learned about our congregational and community context in Lent.

Watch for small group schedules in early April, sign up!

I wonder…

Where is God’s love showing up in our community? How can we build on that love as a congregation?

Where is God’s love showing up in our church? How can we share that love with our neighbors?

Where is God’s love showing up in your life? How can you witness to that love in your daily life?

In Christ, Pastor Kat
