Greetings St. John’s Lutheran Church!

“It is I, Jesus, who sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let everyone who hears say, “Come.” And let everyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who wishes take the water of life as a gift. –Revelation 22:16-17

Come: An Invitation to Invite

Every Sunday in worship, Jesus invites us to know him and experience his love in the scriptural passages that we hear, the songs that we sing, and the holy meal that we eat. We who hear and experience Jesus’ love are in turn called to invite others to hear and experience it!

How can we invite others to come?

Invite someone to worship with you: a friend, a neighbor, a family member. Invite someone to a ministry event: share with them the Annual Charity Block Party on June 22nd from 2-6pm at Benner Hall on Cherry Street in Richlandtown. …Take a flier from the fellowship room. Share it with someone or post it in your neighborhood. …Go to the St. John’s Facebook page, click Events, click Summer Block Party, click Share, and invite your Facebook friends!

Let everyone who is thirsty come!

We are all thirsty for love, for purpose, and for inspiration in our daily lives. Those of us who attend church find this love, purpose, and inspiration through our faith in Jesus. Reach out to other people in your life who are also thirsty. Invite them to come!

In Christ, Pastor Kat
