St. John’s Lutheran Church Closed through 3/31
After prayerful deliberation and in response to safety concerns related to COVID-19, the St. John’s congregational council voted this morning to close the church and cancel worship and all activities through Tuesday, March 31.

The church offices will be staffed at regular hours but not open to visitors. Please, call 215-536-5027 or email to contact the office.

There will be no worship services on Sunday, March 22 or 29. Church activities, including midweek Lent supper and worship on Wednesday, March 18 and 25, the Phantom’s game on Friday, March 20, and choir practices on Thursday, March 19 and 26 are canceled.

In addition, there will be no outside activities in the church building or the Activity Center with the exception of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Family Support group as these are considered essential services.

We plan to resume regular worship on Sunday, April 5; however, we will reevaluate based on the recommendation of government and medical officials.

This Sunday a link to the sermon will be posted on our Facebook page and website. While we may not be in the church, the church continues to have expenses to meet. We ask that you consider making your regular financial contribution online, using the secure link below. Alternatively, you can mail your check to the office or place it in the drop-off box on the outside front wall of the office at the Activity Center.

Please, continue to hold the most vulnerable among us in prayer. While this epidemic is an inconvenience to many of us, it has greater impact on those who are on the margins. May we always remember that, while we are physically apart from one another, nothing can separate us from God.
